From the EP album Flow: Suite for Piano Solo, this work is the third piece from a collection of five pieces based on the psychological concept of “flow” that was popularized by Hungarian-American psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. As a whole, the work is structured as “etudes” (or studies), each piece exploring a rhythmic and textural idea inspired by flow.
