Massachusetts native Peter Vantine is an accomplished pianist and award-winning composer. His music has been featured on the concert stage as well as in film/television/media, including The Biography Channel, The Discovery Channel, MTV, PBS, Warner Brothers Online, the Salem Wax Museum, and The Learning Company. In 2014, Peter was nominated for Album of the Year by Whisperings Solo Piano radio. He was the grand prize recipient of the 2001 Turner Classic Movies Young Composer's Competition and has produced numerous music CDs (many of which include his own music) while arranging or performing on many others. He has recorded a series of solo piano recordings—Prayerful Improvisations—aimed at encouraging peace and healing in people’s lives, and he released a classical piano album—Peaceful Classics—to help raise awareness and funding for Alzheimer’s research. Peter holds degrees in music from Berklee College of Music and Boston University, is a private music coach, and has led worship in and outside churches for nearly 30 years. Along with being blessed by his wife and two children, building and nurturing faith through music is a vital aspect of Peter’s life.
